The Coastal Data Information Program is a joint program of the US Army Corps of Engineers and the state of California committed to measuring, analyzing, and disseminating ocean observations. As the CDIP federal program manger, David McGehee - "Emerald Ocean Engineering's owner - built up the program into a multi-state, multi-agency partnership operating the world’s largest network of coastal measurement stations, providing real-time waves, winds, and currents and state-of-the-art data assimilation models of west coast wave conditions.
